Gained a National
Technical Diploma in Naval Architecture
from the Piraeus Naval Architects' College
1976. Thereafter studied Marine Engineering
at Sunderland Polytechnic, gaining a BSc
in 1980. During his time at Sunderland he
was employed as an Ultrasonic Inspector
and visited over 120 vessels in order to
carry out Hull Thickness Measurements.
Military service
1981-1983 as an engineer on board two Greek
Navy patrol ships. On completion of Military
Service, joined Dalex Shipping Co. as an
assistant superintendent engineer with initial
duties in the supply department and later
on board vessels for the purpose of repairs
scheduling.
1986 employed as
an independent consultant dealing with numerous
assignments including Hull & Machinery
Claims.
1990 joined Laurel
Shipping Co. as a superintendent engineer
attending to four passenger ships and dealing
with Hull & Machinery Claims. In 1992
Gregory returned to Dalex Shipping Co. as
a Superintendent Engineer attending five
handysize bulk carriers. During this time
he dealt with numerous insurance matters
including two CTLs.
1999 joined Compass
United Shipping Co. as Technical Manager
attending to three Container Vessels and
two Product Tankers. Additionally dealing
with Hull & Machinery Claims. Since
2002 employed as an independent consultant
until joining Overseas Maritime.
