Pre-sea training
at the Aspropyrgos Marine Engineers Academy,
followed by sea service in 1972 with Aegean
Oceanic Shipping (Colouthros) on diesel
power Supertankers, serving as Apprentice
up to Chief Engineer.
Chief Engineer's
Certificate 1982 and serving as Chief Engineer
until 1984. Thereafter Estimator/Invoicer
with Elefsis Shipyards and thereafter Ship
Repair Manager with Arab Shipbuilding and
Repair Yard in Bahrain (ASRY). Employed
as Superintendent Engineer with Good Faith
Shipping Co. S.A. Joined Overseas Maritime
in 1998 as Marine Surveyor.
George specialises
in Collisions and Fire Damage claims. His
experience at Elefsis and ASRY Shipyards
is very useful in estimating damages and
cost of repairs.
In addition to other
investigations, George has visited Korea,
Kenya, Cameroon & Turkey within the
last year for Pre-Purchase Condition Surveys
and for several Consulting assignments.
